JEREMY PELT MUSICIAN

Jeremy Pelt was born November 4, 1976, in California. He began playing trumpet at a very young age and, through the years, quickly developed an interest in Jazz. He attended Berklee majoring in Film Scoring and graduated in 1998, whereupon he moved to New York to join the Jazz scene. In the years since, he has amassed quite a resume playing/recording with Cedar Walton, Jimmy Heath, Bobby "Blue" Bland, Frank Foster, Keter Betts, John Hicks, Vincent Herring, Lenny White, Billy Hart, Buster Williams, Bobby Short, Nancy Wilson, Frank Wess, The Skatalites, Lonnie Plaxico, Ralph Peterson, Jimmy Cobb, Vanguard Orchestra, Mingus Big Band, and many more. Currently, he is a member of the Cannonball Adderley Legacy band feat. Louis Hayes and the Lewis Nash Quintet. Mr.Pelt also is a bandleader in his own right, leading "The Jeremy Pelt Quintet" and "WiRED". He has appeared on over 100 CD's, including 8 as a leader, the most recent being "The Talented Mr.Pelt" released in 2011 on the HighNote label.
